MSB Team Participates in United Way of St. Charles Parish Cook-Off
Jambalaya, Gumbo Recipes Compete in Battle for the Paddle
METAIRIE, LA. — October 16, 2018— MSB Consulting Engineers returned for the third-consecutive year to compete in the 2018 Battle for the Paddle Jambalaya and Gumbo Cook-Off benefiting the United Way of St. Charles Parish.
The MSB team faced off against 155 other family, business and industry teams competing for the titles of “Best Jambalaya” and “Best Gumbo” during the 17th-annual charity cook-off. All of the food prepared during the event was served to community members of the Dufresne Community Center.
“It’s fantastic seeing the community come together for a great cause,” said MSB Battle for the Paddle Cook-Off Team Captain Jeff Cancienne, MSB Business Development Account Manager. “Supporting the United Way makes a real difference in the community of St. Charles Parish. We’ll be back again next year to bring home the winning paddle!”
The Battle for the Paddle is held each fall to heighten awareness for the annual United Way Giving Campaign.
“Whether donating money, giving their time as volunteers or contributing to local non-profit organizations, MSB team members are making a real difference by partnering with nonprofits and working with the United Way to be a positive influence on the community,” said MSB President Leo L. Holzenthal, Jr., P.E.
