Employees Share Spirit of the Season with first “MSB Christmas Blessing”

December 22, 2020

METAIRIE, La.—Dec. 22, 2020—This Christmas, MSB Consulting Engineers employees spread holiday cheer with charitable efforts benefiting a local family from the Greater New Orleans community. Each year MSB employees contribute to philanthropic initiatives during the holidays, including an annual Toy Drive. This year, MSB employees collected toys and home goods to support a local family in need, naming it the company’s first MSB Christmas Blessing.

MSB employees were honored to support a young family of three, two little boys and their father. The children recently lost their mother to an unexpected illness. An MSB employee learned of the family’s loss through their church, Vineyard Church of New Orleans, and co-workers at MSB were eager to help. The collection for the family included toys, an Audubon Zoo membership, as well as much needed items for the home and gift cards. “The holiday season is a reminder of how much we at MSB have to be thankful for this year and we strive to make a difference through initiatives that support families in need in our community,” said MSB President Leo L. Holzenthal, Jr., P.E. “Positively influencing our community through our company and personal activities is a core value at MSB.”

Last month, MSB employees held their annual food drive to share full Thanksgiving meals with nine families who are clients of Travelers Aid Society New Orleans, a nonprofit committed to helping homeless or stranded families and individuals regain a self-sufficient lifestyle.
